We provide the
financial support to allow children to continue their
education well past the 5th grade. Our program puts an
incentive in both the child and the parent to place more
emphasis on a quality education and personal development.
Our program puts an incentive in both the child and the parent
to place more emphasis on a quality education.
To be eligible for the scholarship, a child must participate
in the many extracurricular activities offered at our Kushi
Center. The children will continue to have access to the
center, and their use of the computer learning lab, language
lab and library will be monitored.
The child will be enrolled in classes designed by Rishikesh’s
top spiritual leaders and educated community leaders to build
character and awareness in the child. In addition, each child
will have weekly “chores” to complete at the center – things
like cleaning or reorganizing the library. This will create
in the child a sense of ownership – of the Kushi Center, and
of their own educational growth.
As long as the child continues to
show strong participation in their education, we’ll continue
to fund it. The child is more likely to continue on the path
of education and enlightenment, and their family is more
likely to support them through the process.
